Propylon is honored to announce that we have been again certified as a Great Place to Work. This is the fourth time we have participated and the fourth time we have been recognized.
The Great Places to Work initiative assesses workplaces via a staff survey and culture audit spanning the areas of trust, human potential, values, leadership and innovation. At Propylon, the feedback we receive from our employees forms the backbone of our people strategy and our company culture. Whether leadership will act on feedback is not a question, but an expectation.
Since we last sought accreditation, our commitment to our people saw us place renewed focus on innovation and empowerment with streamlined career development and wellbeing-focused employee benefits. We’ve also implemented our hybrid working model, Empowerment with Professional Accountability.
As a small, fast-paced business, the heart of Propylon’s culture is its personable, family feel and emphasis on long-lasting relationships beyond colleague-to-colleague interaction. Throughout 2020, our Great Places to Work committee worked hard to ensure that we prioritized employee engagement and wellbeing as our employees adjusted to working life in a pandemic.
Reacting to the news, Propylon CEO, John Harrington, highlighted the spirit of fellowship and empowerment as we continue to grow.
Achieving this certification is a testament to how our team members work to support one another daily. The fact that we have achieved this certification each time we have participated shows how we take the feedback seriously and that every team member is part of our growth and development.
John Harrington, Propylon CEO
“There is a sense that we are all in this together”
We were humbled by the feedback which we received through our culture audit. Here are just some of the things our people had to say.
“There’s a great, open vibe at Propylon. People care about what they’re doing. Although there’s a very clear sense of strategy and purpose from management, employees are encouraged to innovate and speak up.”
“Propylon excels at allowing people to achieve success in both their professional and personal life.”
“There is a sense that we are all in this together. The people make this a great place to work. Celebrating people, whether that is their differences or achievements. I believe people are recognized as being the most important resource that this business has.”
Although there's a very clear sense of strategy and purpose from management, employees are encouraged to innovate and speak up.
Towards a new era
It is timely that as we move into a new era of increased digitization post-pandemic, we at Propylon have recently updated our company vision to: “Disrupting the legal and regulatory publishing landscape with innovative solutions that simplify the complex and connect people with the law.”
Our new vision reflects an evolution towards not only meeting our clients’ needs but anticipating them in the future.
As we continue to realize our vision and mission as an organization, our people are our best asset. Our Propylonians contribute to the framework through which democracy is facilitated and through which laws are accessible to the public.
With offices in Ireland and the United States, we are going from strength to strength and always on the look-out for innovative, solution-oriented individuals to join our team.
